East Africa and thoughts of England

For many years now I have been living abroad in various cities around the world and had a thoroughly good time. Met and worked with some great people, had some really soul enriching experiences but there are times when I wish I was sitting back in England. Facebook allows me to keep in contact with friends and family but I also get to see what they're upto and sometimes I miss being able to just pop over to see my mates.

I keep on saying I'm going back to England but then the Universe throws up these opportunities for yet another adventure. I'm about to sign on for another year here in South Africa and have promise myself I will explore this wonderful continent starting end of August, Kenya and Ethiopia first I think.

English upbringing, Jamaican background means that Ethiopia always featured in my thoughts due to the Rastafari and their beliefs.
Not that I believe that Haile Selassie aka Ras Tafari was Jesus reincarnate but it's always held my imagination due to Garveys prophecy and the line of Solomon.
Put that together with Ethiopia's history and the Orthodox church, Monasteries on seclude islands in the middle of lakes I think it will be pretty exciting and mystical.

Now, Kenya is another story with the Masai Mara, beautiful Mombassa, watching the migrating herdsand, Kilimanjaro and the history there again. makes me all very excited.

The Darkness will fall

It's funny sometimes in life when you feel the Universe stepping in and taking a more active and direct role in your destiny and its ok that your will is to totally submit to it.
No struggle just a feeling that through circumstance or situation a path is being rolled out for you and it's cool as you just know light will some come to pass and the dark will fall. There is no deliberation over making the right choice it just feels natural, the right way yes, maybe pre-ordained, we are taking about faith and destiny here. The Universe will keep you safe.
This normally happens when you suddenly realise your at a life changing moment - for me that moment is lifestyle - that means changing to improve my life and health.

Hmmmmm

Solitude

In Solitude I am free from the constraints of others.
Through solitude I have grown and become independent.
I am who I am today, weirdness and all.

Contemplation, Spiritual growth, and self-examination.

It does not mean I am alone.

Freemasonry

Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some, it’s about making new friends and acquaintances. For others it’s about being able to help deserving causes – making a contribution to family and society. But for most, it is an enjoyable hobby.

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisation. It teaches self-knowledge through participation in a progression of ceremonies. Members are expected to be of high moral standing and are encouraged to speak openly about Freemasonry. The following information is intended to explain Freemasonry as it is practised under the United Grand Lodge of England, which administers Lodges of Freemasons in England and Wales and in many places overseas.

Freemasonry is a society of men concerned with moral and spiritual values. Its members are taught its principles (moral lessons and self-knowledge) by a series of ritual dramas - a progression of allegorical two-part plays which are learnt by heart and performed within each Lodge - which follow ancient forms, and use stonemasons’ customs and tools as allegorical guides.

Freemasonry instils in its members a moral and ethical approach to life: its values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Members are urged to regard the interests of the family as paramount but, importantly, Freemasonry also teaches and practices concern for people, care for the less fortunate and help for those in need.

My mortgage, my Summer holiday, Christmas

I look out on the World and I see dark times. Violence & terror, unbridled corruption, unspeakable evils perpetrated in the name of good, the black gold flows, the Global economy falters, men hold aloft the so called word of God and then strike down their fellow humans.

Countless Millions spent on so called prestigious events and Govt’s turn a blind eye whilst the populace struggles just to make ends meet and. The dark hearts of Humankind saddens me deeper - I see the pics on TV of the happy shoppers with their credit cards at the ready and their shouts of Buy, Credit, Spend!.

And, yes we all watch with deep interest and fear at the events on TV, in the news on the web watch as children go hungry whilst war, pestilence and disease reign all around us and Its all going to change due to a global shift of consciousness.

It’s just B*llsh*t I say.....There wil be no shift or change as the only question being asked is: Hmmmm, how will it affect ME?.
