Beautiful Florence the Duomo

WOW! These were my first words when I saw this building it's just beautiful.

The 2 pictures below are just just an example of the detail & perspective used throughout the church. I must have spent 20-30 mins looking at these & spent the whole day observing the beautiful masterpieces.

Alexander & I at Pompeii

I was shuffling through the gardens when I came upon this mosaic - I was very surprised & recognised the face immediately! Alexander the Great (I had seen it countless times before in publications but didn't know it was here in Pompeii).

The mosiac below shows Alexander the great victorious battle against Darius II of Persia

Pompeii

Pompeii used to be a seaport buy after the eruption it is now 2km away from the sea, that gives you an idea of the amount of lava that must have spewed out into the city & it remained covered for nearly 1500 years

Roman streets

The townhall & other government buildings

Naples

I was not impressed with Naples at all.

It was dirty, smelly & rubbish everywhere. I arrived in the evening had a wander around & called it a night.

I did manage to get a picture of this entrance to the city though.
