Table Mountain

If you browse web sites pertaining to the Cape Peninsula, you may come across the story of Umlindi Wemingizimu, "the watcher of the south". Apparently, Table Mountain is one of four giants turned into stone by the earth goddess Djobela, to serve as guardians of the dry land created by the god Qamata. The other giants became mountains protecting the west, east and north of the continent from the sea dragon Nganyamba.

It runs everything

Time. You can't touch it, stop or control it, smell or taste it, some say you can see it and some say you can measure it - Tick, Tock, Tick Tock.

Since the beginning of time - that's a bl**dy long time ago.

But apparently, you can waste it. It's not very patient either, but, having said that it's a great healer.
It can sort things out and change things, although it's not too good with secrets as in the end only Time will tell and it's always revealing stuff.

Its a constant friend Time will never leave you alone.

Time. quite an amazing thing actually.

Am I lost again

Ego abounds. 


Want, want, want. Not happy with what you get. 


Today, confusion is the order. Physically i'm here, Mentally i'm there. 


Perhaps a chat with my oldest friend Time will straighten that right out.

Time is only a concept, after all.

Mother Earth is millions of years old (i always find it difficult to comprehend all of the Zeros), But imagine a world of poisonous gases, plants, dinosaurs covering all the different ages of the earth Pliocene Pleistocene, Triassic, Jurassic, and other periods going way, way back.

All of these periods cover millions of years and in relative terms we Humans have been here for less than a blink of an eye.

We, yes all of us are put on Mother Earth for such a short, precious unique moment in time and yet its as if Every time I gaze up at the night sky and watch the stars across the Solar system which is such a vast thing and just amazes me I always ponder and think I'm looking across galaxies and the infinite depths of space and perhaps seeing our old friend time itself and gazing on celestial objects that have existed since the beginning of time itself.
